How to Study the Bible: A Simple Method for Beginners
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
— 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Start With Prayer
Before you read, ask the Holy Spirit for help. God delights to give wisdom to those who seek Him.
Choose a Passage (Small is Powerful)
Don't start with "the whole Bible." Start with a paragraph, a story, or one chapter. Depth beats speed.
The SOAP Method (Simple + Memorable)
S — Scripture: Write one verse that stands out.
O — Observation: What is happening? Who is speaking? What repeats?
A — Application: What is God inviting you to believe or do?
P — Prayer: Respond to God in prayer.
